The Region 3 Championships offer a NOVICE INVITATION PROGRAM where Novice Amateur and Novice Youth Exhibitors showing at AQHA Region 3 Affiliate Designated Shows can earn a FREE ENTRY to the 2011 Region 3 Championships.

Novice Eligibility Rules
The AQHA Region 3 Championships Committee has approved providing Novice Youth and Novice Amateur exhibitors the opportunity to obtain an “Invitation” to the 2012 AQHA Region 3 Championships Show, in St. Paul, Minnesota. In order to obtain this “Invitation,” the Novice Youth or Novice Amateur exhibitor would have to participate in the designated Novice Eligibility Show in their Affiliate Association and place according to the AQHA Region 3 Championships Eligibility Rules. This “Invitation” applies to AQHA approved Region 3 Affiliate Novice Youth or Novice Amateur classes only.
The number of Novice Youth and Novice Amateur exhibitors receiving an “Invitation” in each class will depend on the proximity of the Region 3 Affiliate to the Region 3 Host Affiliate. The Novice Youth or Novice Amateur can only receive an “Invitation” at a show in their home Affiliate Association. For 2012, in Minnesota the highest placing Novice Youth and Novice Amateurs (regardless of placing), in Wisconsin and Iowa the three highest placing Novice Youth and Novice Amateurs (regardless of placing), and in Missouri, Illinois and Manitoba the five highest placing Novice Youth and Novice Amateurs (regardless of placing) at the designated show will receive an “Invitation.”
The “Invitation” applies to the exhibitor/horse combination and will allow the exhibitor/horse to participate in the Region 3 Affiliate class at the 2012 Region 3 Championships in which they received the “Invitation” without paying an entry fee for that class. An Exhibitor may not use more than three “Invitations” per division (Novice Youth or Novice Amateur).
NOTE: All other charges, stall fees, bedding, etc., are the responsibility of the exhibitor.
NOTE: Stall fees ($80.00 per stall) and any additional class entry fees ($33.00 per class) are at the Pre-entry Deadline (June 15, 2012) amount.
NOTE: If applicable, a $33 reduction per “Invitation” will be applied against the day fee ($110) within the appropriate division (Novice Youth or Novice Amateur).
A Novice Youth exhibitor receiving an “Invitation” in an All Age Novice Youth class may use it in either the corresponding 13 and Under Region 3 Affiliate class or the corresponding 14-18 Region 3 Affiliate class if applicable at the 2012 Region 3 Championships show.
It is up to the Novice Youth or Novice Amateur exhibitor to make sure that they provide the show committee with all required information (name, address, phone number, horse’s name and registration number) so that notification of their “Invitation” can be handled in a timely manner.
